Artist's impressions show planned changes at the site including C4DI building from report to go before planners.

This is how the extension of the @TheDock digital hub in the Fruit Market in Hull could look.

These are the proposals for the extension of the @TheDock digital hub in the Fruit Market in Hull.

The planned changes at the site - which includes the C4DI building - consist of two office buildings with ground floor retail and undercroft car parking.

They are included in a report to go before Hull City Council’s Planning Committee on Wednesday 6 March.

@TheDock is a major regeneration scheme in Hull’s Fruit Market, situated next to the historic Central Dry Dock, plus offices of international firms Arco and Saab.

It comprises 85,000 sq ft of office space for businesses ranging from start-ups to large firms.

The report says the proposal would recognise the historical context of the Fruit Market.

The building's design, colour and size is in keeping with nearby buildings, while ensuring the hierarchy of the C4DI building as the main building on the site.

Councillor Daren Hale, deputy leader of Hull City Council, said: “C4DI has been a fantastic development for the city in terms of business start-ups and growth.

“Two new buildings are being planned at C4DI because of demand at the site. Having a cluster of digital businesses on the same site is great because the companies in there feed off each other, and in many cases are now working together with each other.
