Mark Jones MBE

Mark leads the city’s award-winning Invest Hull team, with responsibility for economy, regeneration, property, employment, strategic transport and planning policy. In the past six years, he has overseen work to attract more than £3 billion of public and private sector investment into the city, including £310 million invested to create Europe’s largest wind turbine manufacturing facility at Alexandra Dock.

Alex has spent the past 10 years leading Hull City Council’s planning team, helping to secure unprecedented levels of housing growth and investment in flood defences in Hull. His new role sees him tasked with helping the council to strengthen its relationship with SMEs and micro-businesses, while stimulating employment.
Assistant City Manager, Housing Strategy and Renewal
Working with private sector partners, Nicholas has overseen a £500 million housing investment programme that delivered more than 1,500 completions in 2017-18. He is also responsible for the asset appraisals work for 24,000-plus homes as well as private sector and community housing functions.

City Property and Assets Manager
Nick is responsible for Hull City Council’s corporate and commercial land and property portfolio and facilities management. He advises the council on all aspects of land and property transactions and has a proven track record of enabling the delivery of major regeneration initiatives across the city and wider region.
City Manager, Major Projects & Infrastructure
Garry manages the city’s £400 million public/private capital investment programme, including highways, cultural venues, leisure and retail developments, public spaces, historic parks and schools. As Invest Hull’s visitor economy lead, he oversees the city centre product, branding and inward investment and has responsibility for tourism, conferences, events and delivery of the city's cultural strategy.
Assistant City Manager, City Economy, Regeneration and Policy
Malcolm is Invest Hull's lead on economic development activity, overseeing the delivery of the City Plan to provide strategic direction over the next 30 years. Through extensive company engagement, Malcolm's team provides the basis for further private and public sector investment in the city, including the delivery of EU-funded programmes and economic interventions such as the region’s Enterprise Zones.
