The event offers the unique opportunity to meet with key officials as they learn from the UK’s experience of integrating renewable technologies into the national grid.

About the opportunity

Grid upgrades, the development of an offshore wind sector and energy transition are now top priorities for the Vietnamese Government. With key responsibilities to implement, EVN is keen to explore technologies, approaches and solutions for:

  • Developing and maintaining Offshore Wind Energy projects
  • Decarbonisation: Solutions to help reduce emission from existing coal-fired factories
  • Power transmission: Digitalisation, 4.0 solutions, unmanned substations, cable, isolators, etc.
  • Battery storage technologies
  • Control, protection, monitoring devices
  • Solutions to increase energy efficiency
  • Consultancy for energy transition

About the event

At this event, UK companies will have the opportunity to engage directly with policy makers and SOEs directly responsible for the offshore wind industry. Vietnam has ambitious installation goals for offshore wind, pledging to phase out coal power and achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
