Bonus Arena in Hull is amongst the busiest and most popular events arenas in Europe.
The £36m council-funded arena on Myton Street opened in August 2018 and attracts 200,000 visitors annually.
In February, it was ranked 51st in the top 100 in Europe by prestigious industry magazine Pollstar, whose rankings are based on volume of visitors and revenue streams.
The Hull venue beat large arenas in cities such as Sheffield, Munich and Berlin, Florence, Brussels, Zagreb, Oslo and Belgrade in the list.
Darren Moore, general manager at Bonus Arena, said: “2022 was a fantastic year for Bonus Arena with several world-renowned artists coming to Hull.
“The local community has truly embraced the arena and it is a real privilege for Bonus Arena to be ranked as one of the busiest in Europe in the Pollstar rankings.
“This is the first time we’ve featured in the top 100 and shows how Hull really is now on the map, not just in the UK but in Europe too.”
Artists such as Bob Dylan, Bryan Adams, Blondie, Paloma Faith, Ne-Yo and Bastille have all performed at Bonus Arena in the last year, as well as comedians Kevin Bridges and Sarah Millican.
Stand-up performer Michael McIntyre will present two sold out shows later this year, whilst the legendary Donny Osmond will bring his Las Vegas show to Hull in November.
Bonus Arena also offers a unique and exciting environment for conferences in Hull city centre.
It is a versatile choice for conferences, exhibitions, dinners and events with 1,200sqm of floor space, as well as the option for a large stage area, ensuring large footfall in the city centre during the day.
The space can be opened into one huge, combined auditorium and floor as well as the second largest partition wall in Europe that can separate the floor from the 800-seat auditorium for your AGM or plenary session.
With two VIP rooms, complete AV facilities, lighting, PA, complete catering facilities and concourse areas Bonus Arena is a venue that brings a real wow factor to events.
