Hull is fast. Superfast, by anybody’s standards.
KCOM’S Lightstream package offers full fibre broadband to businesses and homes throughout the city, providing first-class service and speeds to businesses, and unmatched remote working conditions to Hull-based employees.
And this superfast city is showing no sign of slowing down – in fact it’s only getting quicker. Further superfast networks from companies such as Connexion, MS3 and Grain, are currently being installed city-wide, ensuring that Hull is the fastest, most secure and best connected city in the country.
In 2017 the Financial Times named Hull as the broadband capital of the UK.
In 2021 a report from London Tech Week and the UK Tech Cluster Group’s 12 Clusters of Tech series found that 100% of Hull’s businesses and homes have access to ultrafast broadband - a claim no other city in the UK could make. In fact, only 8% of the rest of the UK had access to similar digital infrastructure.
In September last year, KCOM announced plans to invest a further £100m across Hull, East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire to give the region the fastest, future-proofed and most accessible full fibre broadband network in the UK.
