Hull City Council’s Invest Hull team attended the UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) last week for the fifth consecutive year, for the first time as part of the broader Invest Hull and East Yorkshire presence.
Hosted at Leeds’ Royal Armouries since 2022, the annual conference welcomes thousands of delegates from across the UK, connecting people, places and businesses to drive sustainable, inclusive and transformative investment and regeneration.
The Invest Hull team this year collaborated with Invest East Yorkshire and the Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority as hosts within the Invest Hull and East Yorkshire pavilion.
This provided the space for delegates to visit the team in larger numbers, as well as the ability to host panels which enabled the team to showcase what the city and the region has to offer.
The council’s director of regeneration, Chris Jackson, was part of the culture-led panel, whilst Ange Blake, assistant director for major projects and infrastructure, featured on a panel discussing HU1 opportunities.
Leader of the council, Cllr Mike Ross, also gave a speech about the opportunities the city has to offer during a reception.
UKREiiF has proven to be a real success for the team in previous years, with 2025’s announcement confirming that ECF was appointed as lead development partner for East Bank Urban Village.
This was followed up in 2026 with Capital&Centric being revealed as the preferred lead development partner for the next phase of the Albion Square redevelopment.

Cllr Ross said: “It was great to be a part of UKREiiF once again, this year as part of the Invest Hull and East Yorkshire team which really gave us a tremendous opportunity to promote what we have to offer, both in Hull and the wider region.
“The panel sessions in our pavilion enabled us to showcase on a greater scale why businesses and organisations should invest in Hull.
“We were delighted to be able to announce Capital&Centric as the preferred lead development partner for the next phase of our Albion Square project.
“This was another example of the great work UKREiiF does in bringing together and formulating these partnerships to drive investment and regeneration.”
Invest Hull has confirmed that the team will once again be present in Leeds at UKREiiF in 2027.
