A Hull specialist bathroom manufacturer has seen turnover grow to more than £75m following work on a series of high-profile projects.

Walker Modular was founded in 2006 and is part of the wider Walker Group.

Led by former rugby league professional Malcolm Walker, it manufactures bathroom pods from a 700,000 sq ft production facility. Customers include hotels, hospitals, prisons, nursing homes and student accommodation schemes.

Recently filed accounts show turnover of £75.7m was recorded in the year ending 31 March 2019, up from £69.8m in 2017/18. Pre-tax profit also increased to £9.27m from £8.78m the year before.

A directors report accompanying the results said: "The directors are confident that the strategic business model in place will continue to provide substantial growth over the coming years."
