Development with estimated value of £130 million to be the firm’s largest single scheme.

Beal Homes chief executive Richard Beal at what will be the housebuilder’s largest development.

East Yorkshire housebuilder Beal Homes has submitted detailed plans for the first phase of a large-scale 800 home-development.

The development – with an estimated value of £130 million – will be built on a 73-acre site over 15 years in the firm’s largest single scheme.

Outline planning consent was granted for development of the Goole site in 2016. Having secured the land, Beal has submitted a “reserved matters” application for the first phase of 196 open market properties and 10 affordable homes, as well as a main access road and other infrastructure.

Dependent on planning approval, it is expected construction of the first homes will begin this summer.

Beal Homes chief executive Richard Beal said: “We’re excited to have submitted detailed plans for the first phase of what will be a landmark development for our business. This will be the largest single development we have ever delivered and will make a major contribution to our ambitious growth strategy.”

Beal delivered more than 250 new homes in 2018 across a series of prestigious developments and aims to achieve 300 completions this year.

Flagship projects include a high-quality residential development that forms a key element of Hull’s largest urban regeneration project – the £80m transformation of the Fruit Market waterfront district.

Beal is part of the Wykeland Beal joint venture with Hull-based commercial developer Wykeland Group working in partnership with Hull City Council on the Fruit Market scheme.
