Hull City Council will next week showcase the city at the UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF).

The council’s Invest Hull team will be hosting a stall in the exhibition hall at Royal Armouries in Leeds for the three-day event from 16-18 May.

Invest Hull is dedicated to attracting new investment to the city. Its focus has drawn over £5billion of investment into the city over the last decade with Siemens Gamesa, Reckitt and the University of Hull investing £750m between them in the city, creating hundreds of jobs.

On Day 1, the team will be joined by representatives from broadband providers KCOM and MS3, as well as the business hub C4DI.

Come and see the team on the Cinema Stage at 1pm where you can hear and discuss with the team the unique fibre opportunity within Hull.

Alex Codd, Hull City Council’s assistant director for economic development and regeneration, said: “We were here for the inaugural event last year which was hugely successful and we are really looking forward to attending UKREiiF next week.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase what we have in Hull and what we have to offer for potential investors.

“We have just completed consultation on the Western Docklands masterplan which identifies some major residential, commercial and leisure opportunities.”

The regional showcase session will allow the council the opportunity to provide UKREiiF’s delegation of investors, developers, end-users and local authorities, an insight into future plans and opportunities for the city and surrounding region.

Led by the UK’s leading property events company Built Environment Networking and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, this is the second annual UKREiiF event.

The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth, and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.
