The Invest Hull team from Hull City Council will once again be promoting an array of investment opportunities in the city at the UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF).

The team will be showcasing what Hull and the region has to offer as Yorkshire’s only waterfront city.

Invest Hull is dedicated to attracting new investment to the city and the team’s focus has drawn in more than £5 billion of investment over the last decade, with the likes of Siemens Gamesa, Reckitt and the University of Hull investing £750m in the city, as well as creating hundreds of jobs.

The regional showcase session will allow the council the opportunity to provide UKREiiF’s delegation of investors, developers, end-users and local authorities, an insight into future plans and prospects for the city and surrounding region.

The Invest Hull team attending UKREiiF is being led by Alex Codd, the council’s assistant director for economic development and regeneration, alongside Garry Taylor, assistant director for major projects, culture and place.

Alex will be speaking on day three of the event as part of a panel, with the event titled ‘The Place Trailblazers: Optimising Assets for Better Place Outcomes.

Garry will be part of a five-person team discussing ‘Eat, Sleep, Art, Repeat: Using Cultural & Creative Arts within Masterplans & Destination Strategies!’.

Alex said: “UKREiiF is a fantastic opportunity for our Invest Hull team to demonstrate the potential for investment which Hull has.

“The team has attended UKREiiF each year since its inception in 2022 and continues to grow.

“We look forward to sharing our city with visitors and other standholders.”

Garry added: “Alex and I will be sharing our city’s plans and landscape for the coming years.

“We’re delighted to have been given the chance to speak as part of panel discussions and it will be great to liaise with other authorities and bodies whilst there too.”

Led by the UK’s leading property events company, Built Environment Networking, and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, this is the third annual UKREiiF event.

The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.

More than 12,000 attendees are confirmed, including investors, developers and local authorities.

UKREiiF 2024 takes place from Tuesday 21 to Thursday 23 May at Royal Armouries, Leeds.

The Invest Hull team will be on stand D30 in New Dock Hall.
