Businesses in Hull are invited to a free insightful and inspirational breakfast event next month.
Hull Business Breakfast aims to provide local businesses with information on the latest support offerings in the city.
Cllr Mike Ross, leader of Hull City Council, will provide a welcome and deliver an update on devolution, ahead of a talk from Melissa Rackham from Oh Yes! Net Zero.
Melissa will be joined by representatives from member businesses and lead a panel delving into the three core areas of the project:
- Commit: Learn why businesses are developing and implementing a carbon reduction plan
- Champion: Discover the role of workplace champions in driving sustainability initiatives within their organisations
- Collaborate: Hear how businesses are sharing their knowledge and experiences to accelerate progress towards net zero
It aims to provide valuable insights for businesses at any stage of their sustainability journey.
Dr Diana Taylor from Future Humber will then provide information on the roll out of the new Humber narrative that will have added value and impact for our region in place promotion and inward investment.
She will also discuss the united message for ‘Why the Humber’ is much needed for so many sectors, businesses and organisations to ensure we can continue to prosper and grow.
Cllr Ross said: “We have seen how successful our previous business breakfast events held earlier this year were.
“They welcomed over 100 attendees and I’ll be delighted if we can do so once again.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to learn about key updates and opportunities in our region and I look forward to meeting them next month.”
Hull Business Breakfast will be held in the Guildhall on Thursday 7 November, with doors opening at 8am.
Speeches will begin from 8:30am, followed by an hour of exhibiting and networking from 9:30am. You can find more information and book your place here.
